Habit tracker. Streaks that stay on your device.

Saved only in this browser, nothing is uploaded.

Tiny habits, real streaks, privately

Streaks are motivating, but most habit apps lock your history behind an account and sync it to a server. This tracker keeps every check-mark in your browser's local storage, fast, offline-friendly and completely private. Pick a colour and an emoji, tap a day to mark it done, and watch your current streak, best streak and completion rate grow. No account, nothing uploaded, free forever.

How to use the Habit Tracker

The Habit Tracker keeps a row of day cells for each habit you want to build. You tap a day to mark it done, and the card works out your current streak, your best streak and how many days you hit in the visible window. It is for anyone who wants a simple daily check in without an app or an account.

Step by step

  1. Create a habit

Press + New habit. Type a Habit name such as Drink water, pick one of 16 icons under Emoji and one of six accents under Colour, then press Add habit. Pressing Enter in the name box does the same.

  2. Mark the days you did it

Each card shows a grid of day cells ending today, with the weekday letter above each date. Tap a cell to mark that day done; it fills with the habit's color. Tap it again to undo. Today's cell has a green ring around it.

  3. Choose the window

Use 14 days or 30 days at the top to change how many days each grid shows. 30 days is the default. The completion rate on every card follows this choice.

  4. Edit or delete a habit

Press Edit on a card to rename it or change its icon or color, then press Save. Press Delete to remove the habit; a box asks you to confirm, because its whole history goes with it.

Reading the numbers

  • The flame count is your current streak: done days in a row, counting back from today. If today is not ticked yet, it counts from yesterday, so ticking Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday shows 3 days on Thursday morning.
  • Best is the longest run of done days in a row in the habit's whole history, not only in the visible grid.
  • The percentage is the share of days in the window that are ticked, rounded. 12 ticked days in the 30 day view shows 40% next to 30d.

Tips and common mistakes

  • You can only tick days that are inside the grid, so switch to 30 days to catch up on a day you forgot last week.
  • If you keep the page open past midnight, reload it so the grid and the today ring move to the new day.
  • Keep habits small and specific. A name like Read 20 min is easier to tick honestly than Read more.
  • There is no export, so your history lives only in this browser. Use the same browser on the same device each day.

Privacy and limits

Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Your habits and ticked days are saved in this browser's local storage and reload when you come back; another open tab of this page updates when you make a change. Clearing site data or using a private window loses them, and they do not sync to other devices.

§ 02 · what you can do

Everything a tracker should do.

  • Track multiple habits on one screen, each with its own colour-coded calendar grid.
  • Toggle any day done or undone by tapping a cell in the 14-day or 30-day grid, today is always highlighted.
  • See your streaks instantly: current streak, best streak and completion rate recalculate on every tap.
  • Customise each habit with a name, one of 16 emojis and one of six accent colours.
  • Edit or delete habits any time, deleting asks for confirmation before removing history.
  • Private by construction: every check-mark saves to your browser only; nothing is uploaded.
§ 04 · faq

Frequently asked questions.

Is the Habit Tracker free?
Yes, completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. The tracker runs entirely in your browser on your own device, every check-mark is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your computer.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded, marking days, adding habits and editing them all work without a connection, because all logic runs locally.
Will I lose my habits if I close the tab?
No, habits and their history are saved in this browser automatically and reload when you come back. Clearing site data removes them, so they live only as long as your browser storage does.
How is the current streak calculated?
It counts consecutive done days back from today. If you haven't ticked today yet, the count starts from yesterday without breaking, so an unfinished day never punishes you mid-afternoon. Best streak is your longest run ever, and completion rate covers the visible 14- or 30-day window.
