§ 01 · the brand archetype

A bilingual beauty brand operating from Wynwood.

This archetype is a slice of Miami beauty DTC we ship into reliably: a bilingual EN/ES clean-beauty or wellness brand run from Wynwood, Brickell, or Coral Gables. Founder-led, small studio, $130K MRR, selling mostly to US Hispanic and bilingual buyers. The ambition is Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. The infrastructure is the blocker.

The pre-engagement state: $130K MRR on Shopify Standard with English-only PDPs. The Spanish version was machine-translated and read awkwardly. No Shopify Markets multi-currency. No LATAM payment rails, meaning no OXXO, no Boleto, no Pix. No bilingual Klaviyo flows.

Three structural problems compounded the revenue ceiling. One, the machine-translated Spanish PDPs converted at 60 percent of the English baseline. Bilingual buyers noticed the awkward copy and bounced. Two, LATAM buyers could not pay in their local currency or with their local payment method.

That second gap was expensive. Mexican OXXO cash-pickup is 30 percent of Mexico ecommerce volume; missing it cut Mexico revenue by 70 percent. Three, the Klaviyo flows ran in English only. Spanish-preferred customers received an English-only welcome series and unsubscribed at 3x the English rate.

§ 02 · the approach

18 weeks. Five workstreams. Bilingual launch.

Workstream 1 · Shopify Plus migration with Spanish + English bilingual setup. We exported the theme, inventoried every URL, and set up hreflang for an /es/ subfolder with an en-US default, backed by a full 301 redirect map. Then we hired a Mexican copywriter to rewrite all PDP copy in real Spanish, not machine translation. Spanish PDP conversion lifted 28 percent versus the machine-translated baseline.

Workstream 2 · Shopify Markets multi-currency for LATAM. We configured Shopify Markets for Mexico (MXN), Colombia (COP), Brazil (BRL), and Argentina (ARS). Visitors get a geographic redirect with an override option. Pricing rules are currency-aware per market and account for shipping cost differences.

Workstream 3 · LATAM payment rails. We integrated OXXO (Mexico cash-pickup, 30% of Mexican ecommerce), Boleto (Brazil cash-pickup), Pix (Brazil instant transfer), and SPEI (Mexico instant transfer) via Stripe + Mercado Pago. The payoff was immediate. Mexico revenue moved from $1K/mo to $42K/mo over 9 months.

Workstream 4 · Bilingual Klaviyo flows. We built parallel English and Spanish flow infrastructure. Language preference is captured at signup and auto-detected from the browser. Welcome series, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, and win-back flows shipped in both languages. Email revenue moved from 10 percent to 32 percent of total.

Workstream 5 · Bilingual creator program. We built a 60-creator network split 60/40 EN/ES across US-Hispanic, Mexican, and Colombian creators. Each creator got a landing page localized to their audience's language, with a custom UTM-builder workflow for attribution. Blended CAC dropped 38 percent within 9 months.

§ 05 · what this means for miami brands

If your Miami brand looks like this archetype.

If your brand fits this pattern, the playbook transfers. The pattern: a Miami bilingual EN/ES clean-beauty or wellness DTC at $100K-$300K MRR, with machine-translated Spanish content, no Shopify Markets multi-currency, and no LATAM payment rails. It is one of our most-shipped engagement shapes in Miami.

The 18-week timeline holds steady. The workstreams compress or expand in the same proportions. The metrics typically land within plus or minus 25 percent of the archetype numbers.

Five capabilities transfer directly. Shopify Plus migration with hreflang and a bilingual subfolder setup. Real Spanish copywriting for PDPs, not machine translation. Shopify Markets multi-currency for MXN + COP + BRL + ARS. LATAM payment rails: OXXO + Boleto + Pix + SPEI. Bilingual Klaviyo flow infrastructure with language-preference capture.

Every Miami engagement starts with a 30-minute discovery call. We work Eastern Time, with same-day response Monday to Friday 9 to 6.
