Working hours (9am–6pm) Likely asleep Selected hour

Calculated locally with your browser's own time-zone database — nothing is sent anywhere.

Find the meeting slot that works for everyone

Pick a reference city, drag the slider, and every other zone updates live — green blocks show the standard 9-to-6 working hours, striped blocks mark the hours people are likely asleep, and the banner under your cities tells you whether the selected hour lands inside everyone's workday. When it doesn't, the planner scans the whole day in 30-minute steps and hands you the longest window where all zones are at work. It uses your browser's built-in time-zone data, so daylight saving is handled automatically, and your city list is remembered between visits without an account.

§ 02 · what you can do

Everything a planner should do.

  • Compare any combination of time zones side by side — every IANA zone your browser knows is in the picker.
  • Drag a 24-hour slider in 15-minute steps and instantly see what hour it is in every added city.
  • Spot working-hour overlap at a glance: green blocks mark the 9am–6pm window, striped blocks the likely-asleep hours.
  • Get the best meeting slot automatically — the banner shows the longest window where every zone is inside its workday.
  • See day-boundary shifts so you know when a zone has already crossed into the next or previous calendar day.
  • Keep your city list between visits: zones and your reference city are saved locally in the browser, no account needed.
§ 03 · how to use it

Five steps, no manual.

  1. Use the Add a time zone dropdown to add each city or region you need to compare.
  2. Choose a reference zone — the city you want to set the time in.
  3. Drag the time slider (or use arrow keys) to any quarter-hour of the day; every card updates live.
  4. Read each card for the local time, UTC offset and day shift — green slots are 9am–6pm working hours.
  5. Check the overlap banner: it confirms whether the selected hour works for everyone, or shows the best common window if not. Reset to now jumps back to the current time.
§ 04 · faq

Frequently asked questions.

Is the Time Zone Planner free?
Yes — completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. All time calculations run in your browser using its own built-in time-zone database, and your city list is stored only on your device.
Does it handle daylight saving time?
Yes. Offsets are computed from your browser's IANA time-zone data for the exact date you're looking at, so daylight-saving transitions are applied automatically — no manual adjustment needed.
What do the green and striped blocks mean?
Green blocks are standard working hours (9am to 6pm local time), striped blocks are hours when people are likely asleep (11pm to 7am), and the outlined slot is the currently selected hour in that zone.
Will my city list be saved if I close the tab?
Yes — your zones and reference city are saved in this browser automatically and reload when you come back. Clearing site data removes them.
How is the best meeting window calculated?
With two or more zones added, the planner steps through the reference day in 30-minute increments and finds the longest stretch where every zone is inside its 9am–6pm workday. If no shared window exists, it tells you honestly that someone will need an early or late call.
