Random team generator. Fairness, by cryptography.
Paste names, pick a group count or size, and get fair crypto-random teams in seconds — with leaders, keep-apart pairs, fun team names and instant exports. Nothing leaves your device.
A free online tool by Digital HeroesBest effort — we retry shuffles to separate these pairs when possible.
Names stay in your browser, saved locally so they're here next time. Nothing is uploaded.
Leftover people are spread evenly, so sizes differ by at most one.
Shuffling uses a Fisher–Yates shuffle driven by crypto.getRandomValues — fair and unbiased.
Fair teams, zero drama
Classroom groups, five-a-side squads, hackathon teams or chore rotas — the generator splits any list evenly and impartially using your browser's cryptographic random number generator. Choose how many groups you want or how big each should be, keep rivals apart, star a leader in every group, and export the result as text, CSV or a print-ready sheet. Your names never leave the page: no signup, no tracking, free forever.
Everything a team picker should do.
Five steps, no manual.
- Paste your list of names, one per line, into the Names box — duplicates are ignored by default.
- Choose Number of groups or Group size, set the count, and pick a label style.
- Optionally add keep-apart pairs or enable Pick a leader in each group.
- Click Generate teams, then reshuffle as often as you like — the last three shuffles stay in the history panel.
- Copy, download as .txt or .csv, or print your teams straight from the results card.
