Stay focused, stay private

The Pomodoro technique breaks work into focused sprints with short breaks between them — and a longer break after every few rounds. This timer runs entirely in your browser: your tasks, settings and daily counts are stored locally and never uploaded. The countdown is anchored to real timestamps, so it stays accurate even in a background tab, and your daily pomodoro count rolls over automatically at midnight. No account, nothing uploaded, free forever.

§ 02 · what you can do

Everything a focus timer should do.

  • Run timed focus sessions with a configurable length (default 25 minutes, up to 3 hours).
  • Take automatic short and long breaks at intervals you control — default 5-minute short breaks and a 15-minute long break every 4 rounds.
  • Add and tick off tasks so you always know what you are working on during each sprint, with a one-click “clear completed”.
  • Track daily and session pomodoro counts — the daily number resets automatically at midnight, even if you leave the tab open.
  • Get a gentle chime and an optional desktop notification when each interval ends, so you can stay in the zone away from the tab.
  • Keep everything private: settings, tasks and stats are saved in your browser only and stay in sync across open tabs.
§ 03 · how to use it

Five steps, no manual.

  1. Add your tasks in the Tasks panel so you know exactly what each sprint is for.
  2. Adjust focus length, break lengths and the long-break interval in Settings to match your workflow.
  3. Press Start. The ring fills as time passes and a chime plays when the interval ends.
  4. Take your break — with auto-start on, the next interval begins by itself; otherwise press Start again. Use Skip to jump ahead any time.
  5. Watch your pomodoro counts grow. Tasks, settings and stats are saved locally and carry over between visits.
§ 04 · faq

Frequently asked questions.

Is the Pomodoro Timer free?
Yes — completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. The timer runs entirely in your browser on your own device — your tasks, settings and stats never leave your computer.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the page has loaded, the timer, task list and stats all keep working without a connection, because every part of the logic runs locally.
Does the countdown stay accurate in a background tab?
Yes. The timer is anchored to a real end-of-interval timestamp rather than counting ticks, so even when the browser throttles a background tab, the remaining time is always correct — and the tab title shows the live countdown.
How do the chime and desktop notifications work?
The chime is a soft three-note tone generated in the browser — no audio file is downloaded. Desktop notifications are optional: enabling the checkbox asks your browser for permission once, and if you decline or block it, the timer simply carries on with the chime and on-page message.
Will I lose my tasks and stats if I close the tab?
No — tasks, settings and today's pomodoro count are saved in this browser automatically and reload when you come back. Clearing site data removes them, and the daily count intentionally resets at midnight.
