Sign a PDF without the upload

Most “free” e-sign sites push your document to a server before they let you touch it. This one does everything on your device. Draw a freehand signature on the pad with a mouse, trackpad or touchscreen, or switch to Type and render your name in a handwriting-style font. Pick your ink colour, then click any page to drop the signature and drag or resize it into place — or type exact X/Y coordinates in PDF points. Need a signing date?   • Draw a freehand signature on the built-in pad using your mouse, trackpad or touchscreen.
  • Type your name in one of three handwriting-style fonts as an alternative to drawing.
  • Choose your ink colour — black, blue or moss green — for both drawn and typed signatures.
  • Add a date or text stamp alongside your signature, with an adjustable font size and its own position.
  • Place and reposition the signature by clicking a page, dragging the box, resizing the handle, or entering exact coordinates.
  • Download a signed PDF with the signature and stamp baked in, at full quality — nothing is ever uploaded.

Frequently asked questions.

Is PDF Sign free?
Yes — completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. PDF Sign runs entirely in your browser on your own device, so your document and signature never leave your computer and nothing is sent to a server.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the page and its PDF libraries have loaded, drawing, placing and downloading all happen locally, so it keeps working without a connection.
Is a drawn or typed signature legally binding?
In many jurisdictions a visible signature added to a document counts as an electronic signature, and this tool bakes yours directly into the PDF. It does not add a cryptographic digital certificate, so for high-assurance or regulated agreements you may still want a dedicated e-signature service. Check the requirements for your document.
How precisely can I position the signature?
Very precisely. Click a page to drop the signature, drag the box or its corner handle to move and resize, or type exact X and Y coordinates in PDF points (measured from the bottom-left of the page) and a width. The date or text stamp can be placed and dragged independently on any page.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. Just open the page and start signing — there is no software to install and no account to create.
