Five steps, no manual.
- Click + Add task and give each task a name, a start date, an end date and an optional assignee.
- Set % complete on any task and pick a bar color from the palette — the chart redraws instantly.
- Drag tasks to reorder them; the bars follow the new order right away.
- Switch the time scale (Day, Week, Month) and toggle the today line, % labels and gridlines to suit your view.
- Click Download PNG for a deck-ready image, or Export JSON to back up the project and re-import it later.

Is the Gantt chart maker free?
Yes — completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Is my project uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. The chart is drawn entirely in your browser on your own device — your tasks and dates never leave your computer.
Will I lose my plan if I close the tab?
No — it's saved in this browser automatically and reloads when you come back. Clearing site data removes it, so use Export JSON for a backup you control.
How do I share the chart with my team?
Download a high-resolution PNG for decks and docs, or use Copy image to paste it straight into chat. To hand over the editable plan, send the Export JSON file — anyone can re-import it here.
What do the Day, Week and Month scales change?
The zoom of the date axis. Day gives each date the most room for short sprints, Week balances detail and overview, and Month compresses long projects so the whole roadmap fits on screen. The axis snaps to tidy week or month boundaries automatically.
