Events are saved only in this browser — nothing leaves your device.

Every milestone, ticking privately

Most countdown sites want an account before they remember your dates. This one keeps every event in your browser's local storage: add as many as you like, give each an emoji and colour, and the soonest one is always front and centre with days, hours, minutes and seconds ticking live. Past events flip to “X days ago” so anniversaries work too. Copy a ready-made share line, or switch to big mode for a clean full-screen display. Free forever.

§ 04 · faq

Frequently asked questions.

Is Event Countdown free?
Yes — completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Are my events uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. The countdown runs entirely in your browser on your own device — your events are saved in local storage and never sent to a server.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the page has loaded, adding events, ticking countdowns and exporting all keep working without a connection, because everything runs locally.
What happens when an event date passes?
The countdown flips to “X days ago” automatically, so anniversaries and past milestones keep working. Future events always sort ahead of past ones.
Will I lose my events if I close the tab?
No — they're saved in this browser automatically and reload when you come back. Clearing site data removes them, so use Copy all or Download .txt for a backup you control.
Can I count down to a specific time, not just a date?
Yes — every event has an optional time field. Leave it empty and the countdown targets midnight at the start of that day; set it and the clock counts down to the exact minute.
