Is the Word Cloud Generator free?
Yes , completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. The generator tokenizes and draws your text entirely in your browser on your own device , the text never leaves your computer and nothing is sent to a server.
What’s the difference between the PNG and SVG export?
The PNG is a high-resolution raster image (drawn at 2× device pixels), ideal for slides and social posts. The SVG is fully vector, so it stays razor-sharp at any size , best for print and further editing in design tools.
How is word size decided, and which words get removed?
Size follows a square-root scale of each word’s count, so more frequent words are drawn larger without letting the top word dwarf everything. Common English stopwords (the, and, of…), pure numbers, words below your minimum length, and anything in your custom ignore list are stripped before counting.
Does it work offline?
Yes , once the page has loaded, generating clouds and exporting images all work without a connection, because every step runs locally in the browser.
