A signature image, made the honest way
Draw mode records your stroke as points and renders it with velocity-aware width, the line thickens where you slow down and thins where you speed up, so it reads like a real pen rather than a flat vector. If your device reports pen pressure (a stylus, for instance), that's used directly. Type mode renders your name in one of six cursive styles at high resolution. Either way, the export is trimmed tight to the ink and supersampled before it's scaled to your chosen width, so edges stay crisp. No account, nothing uploaded, free forever.
How to use the Signature Generator
This generator makes a PNG image of your signature, either drawn by hand or typed in a cursive style. Drawn lines get thicker when you move slowly and thinner when you move fast, like real ink, and the export is trimmed tight around the signature. Use it to add a signature image to PDFs, documents, email footers or design files.
Step by step

Choose Draw or Type
Press Draw to sign with a mouse, pen or finger, or Type to build the signature from your name. Draw is selected when the page opens.

Draw your signature
Sign on the pad, above the dashed line marked Sign above the line. Set Pen width from 1 to 8 px (it starts at 3) before you start. If your stylus reports pressure, that sets the thickness instead of speed. Press Undo stroke to remove the last stroke or Clear pad to start over.

Or type your name
In Type mode, enter your name under Type your name, up to 60 characters. Under Pick a style, each card previews your name; choose Flow, Casual, Classic, Elegant, Script or Hand.

Pick an ink color
Under Ink colour choose black, blue, moss green or dark red, or press the rainbow swatch to pick any color. The same choice is used in both modes.

Set the export size
In the Preview & export panel, drag Export width between 300 and 2000 px, in 50 px steps; it starts at 800. The height follows the shape of your signature.

Download or copy
Press Download transparent PNG for signature-transparent.png, Download white-background PNG for signature-white.png, or Copy image to clipboard to paste it straight into another app.
Reading the preview
- The preview shows exactly what will download. The checkered pattern behind it means the background is transparent.
- The line under the preview gives the final size in pixels, width by height, followed by the word transparent. The width always matches Export width; the height depends on how tall your signature is.
- The image is cropped to the ink with a small margin, so empty space on the pad never ends up in the file.
- The white background version is the same size, with white filled in behind the ink for apps that do not handle transparency.
Tips and common mistakes
- Sign at a steady, unhurried pace. Slow strokes come out thicker and more natural; quick flicks come out thin.
- In Draw mode, a new Pen width or Ink colour only applies to strokes you draw after the change. To recolor the whole signature, press Clear pad and sign again.
- Flow and Casual use a handwriting font that loads with this page, so they look the same everywhere. Elegant, Script and Hand use fonts installed on your device, so they can look different on another computer or phone.
- Use the transparent PNG for PDFs, Word documents and email footers, and the white background PNG where transparency shows up as black or gray.
- An image of a signature is not the same as a certified electronic signature. Check what your document or signing platform requires.
Privacy and limits
Drawing, typing and exporting all happen in your browser. Your signature is never uploaded and is not saved, so reloading the page clears it. Copy image to clipboard needs a browser that allows images on the clipboard; if it does not, the tool asks you to download instead.
