Frequently asked questions.
Is Photo Border & Frame free?
Yes, completely free for everyone. Borders, mattes, polaroid frames, shadows, per-photo download and ZIP export are all included, with no sign-up, no account, no usage limits and no watermarks.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Every frame is composited locally with your browser's own canvas, so your photos never leave your device and nothing is sent to a server.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, all the framing, previewing and export runs locally, so it keeps working without a connection.
Can I frame a whole batch at once?
Yes. Drop in multiple photos and your chosen border, matte, corners, polaroid, shadow and background are applied to all of them. Download any single photo, or export the entire set as one ZIP archive.
What is polaroid mode?
Polaroid mode adds a thick bottom bar below the photo, the classic instant-film look, where you can type a caption in a handwritten, serif, display, clean or typewriter font, and set its size and color.
Which formats can I export?
Export as PNG to keep a transparent background, or as JPG with an adjustable quality slider for a smaller file. Choose 0.5×, 1× or 2× scale, and you can also copy the framed image straight to your clipboard.
