Frequently asked questions.

Is the PDF to Images tool free?
Yes — completely free for everyone, including the “download all as ZIP” export. No sign-up, no account and no page limits.
Is it private? Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. The whole thing runs in your browser on your own device — your PDF is read into memory, rendered locally and never sent to a server.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the page and its render libraries have loaded, everything happens locally, so it keeps working without a connection.
What is the difference between PNG and JPG output?
PNG is lossless and supports transparency, so it is ideal for documents, diagrams and anything with sharp edges. JPG produces smaller files and lets you set the quality level from 50 to 100%. Both are rendered locally in your browser.
What does 1×, 2× or 3× resolution actually change?
The multiplier scales the render up from the PDF's native page size. 1× is fine for on-screen previews, 2× is a good all-round default, and 3× produces the sharpest, print-quality output at the cost of larger files. The exact pixel dimensions appear under each thumbnail so you can pick the right trade-off.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. Just open the page and start converting — there is no software to install and no account to create.
