Convert images without the upload

Most “free” converters push your images to a server first. This one decodes and re-encodes everything locally on your device's canvas , instant, fully private, and offline-ready once the page has loaded. Single & multi-file conversion, a live quality slider for lossy formats, transparency flattening for JPG, and one-click ZIP export of the whole batch are all completely free, with no sign-up and no size limits.

§ 02 · what you can do

Everything the converter should do.

  • Convert PNG, JPG & WebP in either direction, one click, on any number of files at once.
  • Adjust output quality with a live slider for JPG and WebP to balance file size against sharpness.
  • Flatten transparency when converting to JPG by choosing a white or black background fill.
  • Preview every converted image in a thumbnail grid with before → after file-size figures.
  • Download individually with a per-image button, or grab the whole batch as a single ZIP.
  • Work fully offline and privately , no upload, no account, no size limits.
§ 03 · how to use it

Four steps, no manual.

  1. Drop your images onto the zone, or click to browse. PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and BMP are all supported.
  2. Choose your output format , PNG, JPG or WebP.
  3. Set the quality slider for JPG or WebP, and pick a background colour if you're flattening transparency into JPG.
  4. Use a per-image Download button, or click Download all (.zip) for the full batch.
§ 04 · faq

Frequently asked questions.

Is the Image Converter free?
Yes , completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Is it private? Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No upload, ever. The converter decodes and re-encodes your images entirely in your browser using your device's canvas , the files never leave your computer.
Does it work offline?
Yes , once the page has loaded, all conversion, previewing and ZIP export happen locally, so it keeps working without a connection.
Why does JPG ask for a background colour?
JPG has no alpha channel, so transparent areas must be flattened onto a solid colour. Choose white or black and the converter fills the background before encoding. PNG and WebP keep transparency, so that option is hidden for them.
Does the quality slider affect PNG?
No. PNG is lossless, so the slider is ignored and disabled when PNG is selected. It only changes the output for JPG and WebP, where a lower value trades sharpness for a smaller file.
Is there a limit on how many images I can convert?
There's no built-in limit , you can drop a whole folder and export them as one ZIP. The only real constraint is your device's memory, since everything is held and processed locally.
