Why convert HEIC in the browser?

Most HEIC converters upload your photos to a server first. This one decodes Apple's HEIC/HEIF format and re-encodes it to JPG or PNG entirely on your device — instant, fully private and offline-ready once the page has loaded. Single and multi-file conversion, a live JPG quality slider and one-click ZIP export are all completely free, with no sign-up and no limits.

§ 02 · what you can do

Everything the converter handles.

  • Convert HEIC and HEIF iPhone and iPad photos to JPG or PNG without uploading anything.
  • Batch convert as many files as you like — drop them all at once and each is converted in turn.
  • Tune JPG quality with a live slider to balance file size against image detail.
  • Switch to lossless PNG any time and the tool re-encodes every file automatically.
  • Handle multi-frame HEIC — Live Photos and burst frames come out as separate downloadable images.
  • Download one file or the whole batch as a single ZIP, and keep working offline once loaded.
§ 03 · how to use it

Four steps, no signup.

  1. Drop your HEIC files onto the drop zone, or click it to browse. You can add several at once.
  2. Pick JPG or PNG as the output format — the whole batch converts to that format instantly.
  3. For JPG, drag the quality slider to balance file size and detail; PNG is always lossless.
  4. Click Download on any thumbnail for one file, or Download all (.zip) to grab everything at once.
§ 04 · faq

Frequently asked questions.

Is the HEIC to JPG Converter free?
Yes — completely free for everyone. No sign-up, no account and no usage limits.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No — the converter decodes and re-encodes every photo entirely in your browser on your own device, so your images never leave your computer and nothing is sent to a server.
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC (and HEIF) is the high-efficiency image format iPhones and iPads use by default. It saves storage space but isn't supported everywhere, so converting to JPG or PNG makes photos universally viewable and shareable on Windows, older devices and most websites.
Can I convert many HEIC files at once?
Yes — drop in as many HEIC or HEIF files as you like. They convert one after another, then you can download each one individually or grab the whole batch as a single ZIP.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
Choose JPG for photos you want to share or store compactly — the quality slider lets you trade a little detail for a much smaller file. Choose PNG when you need lossless, pixel-perfect output; PNG ignores the quality slider because it never discards detail.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the page has loaded, conversion keeps working without a connection because all of the decoding and encoding runs locally in your browser.
