How to use the Email Signature Maker

This maker builds an HTML email signature from your details, with an optional logo, social icons and an accent color. It writes the signature as tables with inline styles, which is the format mail apps handle best, and shows it in a live preview as you type. Use it to set up a signature in Gmail, Outlook or any mail app that accepts pasted or HTML signatures.

Step by step

   Pick a layout

   Choose Classic for the logo on the left and details on the right, Stacked for everything centered, or Modern bar for a solid accent bar down the left side. The note under the buttons describes the layout you picked.

   Fill in your details

   Type into Full name, Job title, Company, Phone, Email and Website. Address is optional. The fields start with sample details, so replace each one. Any field you leave empty is left out of the signature.

   Add social links and a color

   Paste profile links into LinkedIn URL, X (Twitter) URL and Instagram URL. An icon appears only for links you fill in. Accent color starts at #3f6b54 and tints the icons, the title line, the website link and the divider or side bar.

   Add a logo or headshot

   Under Logo / headshot, click Add an image or drop a PNG, JPG or SVG on it. The image shows 84 pixels wide, or 64 pixels in Stacked. Press Remove to take it out again.

   Check the live preview

   The live preview redraws on every keystroke on a white background, the way it will look in an email. Open View HTML source under it to read the code it produces.

   Copy it into your mail app

   Press Copy signature, then paste it into Gmail under Settings, See all settings, Signature, or into Outlook from a new email under Signature, then Edit. It pastes with the formatting in place.

   Keep a copy

   Press Copy HTML source for mail apps that take raw HTML, or Download .html to save the signature as email-signature.html for later edits.

Reading the preview

• The preview is the same HTML that Copy signature and Download .html give you. The Email-safe HTML label means the layout uses tables and inline styles only, with no separate style sheet for a mail app to strip.
• Your name sits on the first line in bold. Job title and Company share the next line in the accent color, separated by a dot.
• Website shows without https:// and without a trailing slash, but the link still points to the full address. A bare domain such as example.com gets https:// added to the link.
• Phone, email, website and address follow in that order, with the address in lighter gray, then the social icons at 18 pixels each.

Tips and common mistakes

• Crop and shrink the logo before you add it. The tool embeds the file exactly as it is and only scales it on screen, so a large photo makes every email you send heavier.
• If Copy signature shows Copy failed, use HTML source, press Copy HTML source instead and paste into a mail app that accepts HTML, or select the preview and copy it by hand.
• Nothing is saved between visits, and reloading the page brings back the sample details. Press Download .html once you are happy so you can start from it next time.
• Use full profile addresses in the social fields, such as https://linkedin.com/in/you. Text without http:// or https:// gets https:// added in front.
• Send a test email to yourself and open it on a phone and a computer before you rely on the new signature.

Privacy and limits

Everything runs in your browser. The logo is read from your device and placed inside the signature as a data URI, so it is never uploaded, and nothing you type is sent or stored. The tool only writes to your clipboard when you press a copy button.
