How the app idea validator works
Great software rarely fails because of the code, it fails because the idea underneath it was never sound. This validator scores an app or software idea across the six dimensions that product teams and investors weigh again and again: how severe the problem is, how big the market is, how differentiated your approach is, whether people will pay, whether there's a gap in the competition, and how well you fit the market.
You rate each dimension Weak, OK or Strong, worth 1, 2 or 3 points. The six ratings are summed (6 to 18) and rescaled to a clean score out of 100. Equal weighting keeps it honest: a brilliant market can't paper over a problem nobody feels, and deep expertise can't rescue an idea no one will pay for.
score = round( (sum of 6 ratings ÷ 18) × 100 )

Once the idea holds up, the next questions are cost and scope. Estimate the build with the software development cost calculator, or decide whether to build at all with the build vs buy calculator. When you're ready to talk specifics, see our services.
