Custom web application in three packages

A custom web application built around how your team or customers work, in three packages at fixed prices. Each covers a written scope, design, engineering, automated tests, launch in a cloud account in your name and a full handover. Pay in full through Stripe, or book a call to pay a deposit and then milestones.

§ 02 · overview

What these packages cover.

A custom web application is software people sign in to and use in the browser: an internal tool that replaces a tangle of spreadsheets, a portal for your customers, or the first version of a product you plan to sell. Every package covers a written scope, design, engineering, automated tests, launch in a cloud account held in your name, and a handover that lets another engineer carry on without us.

The three packages differ in how much the app has to do, not in how carefully it is built. Basic is one core workflow for one kind of user. Standard adds two or three roles, screens designed on your brand and one connected system, such as your CRM or single sign-on. Premium covers many roles with record-level permissions, two or more connected systems, existing users moved in and an audit history.

Custom web applications we have built, shown with permission, include Planivo, a workforce planning platform for clinics and hospitals, and SpeedyPrint, an online print store with a browser design editor. Our default stack is React or Next.js, Node, Python or Go, and Postgres, so whoever maintains the app later is not stuck with a framework nobody hires for. On Clutch we are rated 5.0 from 66 verified reviews (checked 13 October 2026).

§ 04 · scope

What is not included, and what we need from you.

Not included

  • Hosting, database, storage and domain bills, which your providers charge to accounts in your name.
  • Fees for third-party services the app uses, such as payment processing, email delivery, text messages, maps, paid APIs and AI models.
  • Support, maintenance and new features after handover, which are quoted separately, usually as a monthly retainer.
  • Work outside the written scope, which needs a written change request stating its cost and its effect on the date.
  • On Basic and Standard: moving existing users and data in from an old system.
  • Native iOS and Android apps, which are a separate package.
  • Writing your content and legal pages, and legal or compliance advice on how your app handles data.

What we need from you

  • One decision maker who joins the kickoff call and can approve the scope and each delivery.
  • A walkthrough of how the work is done today, with the spreadsheets, forms and documents your team uses.
  • A code repository and a cloud hosting account in your name, paid for by you, with our engineers added as collaborators.
  • Access to each system the app connects to, such as API keys, a test account and its documentation.
  • Your logo, colors, fonts and any existing design files or design system.
  • The words the app shows, such as help text, email wording, your privacy policy and your terms.
  • Feedback on each weekly demo, so open questions do not hold up the next week of work.
  • For Premium: an export of the users and records to move in, and the audit or legal requirement in writing.
§ · how delivery works

From payment to handover.

Every package follows the same five steps. The scope changes from Basic to Premium; the order does not.

  1. step 01
    Pay at checkout

You pay the package price in full through Stripe's secure checkout. If you would rather pay a deposit before work starts and then payments at agreed milestones, book a call instead and we set that up with you.

  2. step 02
    Kickoff call

Every order gets an email reply within 24 hours to book the kickoff call. On that call we confirm the scope of your package in writing. Work starts after it.

  3. step 03
    Build

Your project is delivered remotely by our engineers in Delhi and Lucknow, with leadership in New York. The delivery estimate for your package is on its card above. It is an estimate, not a deadline: your dates are confirmed in writing at the kickoff call.

  4. step 04
    Review and revisions

You review the work as it is delivered. Your package card says how revisions are handled: where it says they are agreed in writing, the rounds are set in the written scope at the kickoff call.

  5. step 05
    Handover

The finished work goes live or is handed over in the way agreed at the kickoff call.

The Standard and Premium estimates are the ranges our web development cost guide gives for a web application of that size. Basic is a smaller build than that guide prices, so its delivery date is agreed in writing at the kickoff call, against the scope confirmed there.

Once the build starts you get a recorded demo of working code every week, with a note of what shipped and what slipped. Work is delivered into a code repository and cloud accounts held in your name, on your billing, with our engineers added as collaborators you can remove.

Content, decisions and access to the systems we connect usually set the pace more than coding does. Having your workflow notes, brand files and system access ready for the kickoff call is the best way to protect the estimate.

§ · payment and refunds

Payment and refund terms.

Paid in full at checkout

Package prices are in US dollars and are charged in full at checkout. Stripe hosts the payment page, so your card details are entered on Stripe and never reach this site.

Prefer milestones?

For fixed-scope work we also bill a deposit before work starts, then payments at agreed milestones. To pay that way, book a call instead of checking out.

What the price covers

The package price is the total you pay us. We add no tax, fee or surcharge at checkout, and the amount Stripe charges is the price on the package card. It pays for our work only. Fees that other companies bill you directly, such as platform plans, app subscriptions, hosting, domains, store registration fees and payment processing on your own sales, are not part of it: the ones this package can involve are listed under not included. Your card issuer may charge its own fee for a payment in US dollars.

Refunds and cancellation

Our refund and cancellation policy applies to every package. You can cancel by written notice at any time: we stop work, deliver everything completed up to that point, and you pay for the work completed and in progress, as the policy sets out. A deliverable that misses its agreed acceptance criteria is reworked at our cost. To ask for a refund, email support@digitalheroes.co.in. We acknowledge the request within two business days, review it within five, and pay an approved refund within fifteen business days, back to the original payment method. Nothing here limits your statutory rights. Our terms of service apply too.

§ · questions

Questions before you check out.

Which package fits my web application?

Basic suits one core workflow for one kind of user, such as an internal tool that replaces a spreadsheet. Standard suits two or three roles, screens designed on your brand and one connected system, such as your CRM or single sign-on. Premium suits many roles with record-level permissions, two or more connected systems, existing users to move in and an audit requirement. If you are unsure, chat with the team before you check out.

What happens after I pay?

Stripe sends your payment receipt, and every order gets an email reply from us within 24 hours to book the kickoff call. On that call we go through the workflow, the users and any systems the app connects to, then confirm the scope of your package in writing. Build work starts after the call, and from then on you get a recorded demo of working code every week.

How long does a custom web application package take?

Standard is estimated at 12 to 14 weeks and Premium at 14 to 16 weeks, the ranges our web development cost guide gives for web applications of that size. Basic is smaller than anything that guide prices, so its date is agreed in writing at the kickoff call. Content, decisions and access to the systems we connect set the pace more than coding does, so having them ready protects the date.

What if my scope changes after the kickoff call?

The package price covers the scope confirmed in writing at kickoff. Anything outside it needs a written change request that states its cost and its effect on the date. If your app is larger than Premium, book a call instead of checking out: larger builds start with a discovery sprint, priced separately, and are then quoted at one fixed price against the written scope it produces.

Who owns the code, the repository and the cloud accounts?

You do. The code, designs and custom assets made for your project are assigned to you on full payment. The repository and cloud accounts are held in your name and paid for by you, and our engineers are added as collaborators you can remove. We keep reusable libraries and tools that existed before your project or were built for general reuse, and may show finished work in our portfolio unless you opt out in writing.

Are hosting and third-party services included in the price?

No. The package price covers our work. Hosting, databases, storage, backups and monitoring are billed to you by the cloud provider and grow with use, so ask us for a monthly estimate at your expected load before launch. Services the app relies on, such as payment processing, email delivery, text messages, maps, paid APIs and AI models, are billed by each provider, often per use, and the written scope lists each one.

Can I get a refund?

Our refund and cancellation policy applies to every package, and the full text is on our refund page. You can cancel by written notice at any time: we stop work, deliver everything completed up to that point, and you pay for the work completed and in progress, as the policy sets out. A deliverable that misses its agreed acceptance criteria is reworked at our cost, and if it still fails after the agreed rework rounds, you can reject it and ask for a refund of the part of the payment tied to it. To ask for a refund, email support@digitalheroes.co.in. We acknowledge the request within two business days, review it within five, and pay an approved refund within fifteen business days, back to the original payment method. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.

What support do I get after launch?

Handover includes architecture documentation, operating runbooks and a session that transfers knowledge to whoever runs the app next, so you are not tied to us. Fixes, updates and new features after handover are not part of the package; they are quoted separately, usually as a monthly retainer with a named team. Budget for upkeep either way: the GoodFirms 2026 cost report cited in our cost guide puts it at 10 to 20 percent of the build a year.
